Scholarship Program in Hancock County, Maine

The Silvernail Foundation believes in helping young people achieve their dreams through equitable access to education and health.

The Silvernail Scholarship is awarded to up to 10 high school students in Hancock County each year.

Each Silvernail Scholar will receive a post-secondary education award worth $15,000 for their studies. Additionally, each Scholar attends a yearly symposium on values-based leadership and how to create prosperous, dependable communities.

Post-Secondary Education

Up to 10 graduating seniors from Hancock County high schools will receive up to $15,000 to support their secondary education.

How Do We Help?

The Silvernail Foundation is based on the steadfast belief that education changes lives. We want to build a growing network of future leaders for Hancock County and Maine.

We aim to remove the barriers of access and affordability to post-secondary education.

The Foundation also supports Maine's adopted goal of 60% of Mainers holding education and workforce credentials that position Maine and its families for success by 2025. Maine is currently at approximately 56%.
